All are double-glass bifacial modules, most of them N-type TOPCon, from JA Solar, Philadelphia Solar, Zshine, Hanersun and Mate Solar: the bifacial cells add output from light reflected onto the back, and double glass is the more durable construction over 25 years outdoors. All-black modules suit a visible roof; silver-frame modules are the economical pick for a ground mount or a large array. The JA Solar JAM54D41 450 W is the panel our systems are built around.

Panels ship freight; a pallet is the cheapest way to buy for a large array. Mounting rails, clamps and racking are sold separately under metal roof, shingle and flat roof and ground mount.
