What it is, and what it is for
Growatt APX high-voltage LiFePO4 battery, 5 kWh to 30 kWh
The stackable high-voltage battery for Growatt's MIN XH-US and SPH hybrid inverters. Each APX 5.0P module holds 5 kWh (4.5 kWh usable) of cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate cells; the system is one power module on top, which carries the battery management and the DC-DC stage, with one to six battery modules stacked under it, so a home starts at 5 kWh and grows to 30 kWh by adding modules. Choose the total capacity from the options above; every option includes the power module.
The stack runs at a nominal 385 V (330 to 450 V), which is what lets the MIN XH-US charge and discharge it at full inverter power with small currents and thin cable. It is rated IP66 for outdoor mounting on a wall or the floor, works from -10 °C to 50 °C, cools by convection, and talks to the inverter over CAN. Each module weighs about 50 kg (110 lb) and measures 690 × 185 × 295 mm.
Sizing: 5 kWh carries a fridge, lights, internet and a furnace fan through a night; 10 kWh adds a well pump and some cooking; 20 kWh or more is for a whole-home backup with air conditioning or an EV charger, paired with the 10 kW or 11.4 kW MIN XH-US and the ATS-XH-US transfer switch.
